Of
note are superb Buddhist artefacts, imperial porcelain and a
collection of 17th century Ming-style furniture. Rare and
fascinating objects from as far back as the Neolithic Period
(5000 - 1600 BC) can also be viewed.
The
next wing of the Museum, located at the Empress Place
Building, to be completed in the second half of 2002, will
give an insight into the cultural heritage of India, Southeast
Asia and the Islamic World.

with an additional tour at 3:30pm on Sat. and Sun.
10.30am (Tue to Fri) for Japanese language tours.

Getting
There: From City Hall MRT Station (NS25/EW13), walk
towards Stamford Road and turn into Armenian Street at the MPH
bookshop. The museum is diagonally across from MPH.
