Established in 1978 in Watts Gully in the Northern limits of
the Adelaide Hills at 380 metres altitude, Samphire vineyard
is set in a tiny protected amphitheatre which concentrates the
sun and protects the vines from wind. The soil is deep clay,
fertilised and watered by runoff from the surrounding bushland
and hills.
