This bash style car rally is from Melbourne to Darwin via Alice Springs and Wilpena Pound. It is expected to take 20 days travel time. It is hoped the event will raise a minimum of $60,000 for cancer victims and their families.

Initiated by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory in 1984, the award provides over $50,000 worth of prize money and selected works are toured nationally.
